Green Crescent’s Journey to Excellence and Strategic Planning
The Green Crescent has adopted the center for excellence and EFQM model in its institutionalization works. In line with this model, the Green Crescent has formed a strategic plan for the years 2014-2016. According to this strategic plan that was adopted, the Green Crescent conducts its works in the direction of 10 fundamental targets. The Green Crescent has identified its basic competence in combating addictions as policy making, coordination, raising awareness, and project management in the 2014-2016 strategic plan. In line with the said strategic targets, the Green Crescent aims;
- To conduct scientific and evidence based academic studies and to accordingly generate content for effective rehabilitation and guidance drawing on international experiences,
- To mobilize our human resources and organization in line with these targets,
- To organize effective communication campaigns in order to raise social awareness,
- To combat addictions and create a Green Crescent awareness in all schools and among the youth through education based studies,
- To contribute to the leading role of Turkey in combating addictions on a global scale, in cooperation and solidarity with international organizations,
- To realize advocating and lobbying works in order to contribute to the formation of all kinds of strategies, action plans and legal regulations concerning the combat against addictions,
- To develop effective collaborations with nongovernmental and public institutions and organize cultural, sports and arts events in order to create social awareness in fighting addictions.
